We had a 1 hour rain delay before we teed off today. Man did it rain hard. The beauty of this place is that it all drains away and you can play pretty much straight away. The bad thing is that it warms up instantly and gets very humid, which it stayed that way all day. My first round was even par 71, which included 4 birdies. I tee off Friday at 12.30pm.

Round 1 Tee Time for the Morebe Open at Lae Golf Club is 8.30am (Same as Australian QLD Time). I played in the Proam Sponsors day today which went well. Course is in pretty good condition. It will just depend on how much it rains overnight whether or not the course can stay in good nic.

My next two events are in the country of Papua New Guinea. I will be playing in Lae and Moresby. We fly in a group on Monday the 19th April.

This is much smaller Red Panda, which lives in the trees.

Round 2 I was off to a slow start after 8 holes, which meant I had to turn it around from there. A few birdies later I put myself into a position to shoot a good score I was after. A couple bad holes from there put me out contention to be around for the weekend. In the end I signed for a 74. Looking back I didn't play as I had hoped. But at the end of the day that is golf, and we learn from every round. Planning to go and look the panda's today, should be fun.
