Luxehills Round 1

Round 1: 73 (+1) in 107th place. Cut predicted at (-2) at this stage and the leader is at 64, so it is really possible to go low on this course as it is in great condition. I played the par 4 positionally well off the tees, but be more accurate with my approach shots today will result in better scoring for me. For a good indication on what the course plays like, I describe it like a Wairakei on steroids. It has more bunkers visually off each tee, but is reasonably generous in landing areas. Most of the holes have USD $800,000 houses lined along one side of each fairway. Only a few are occupied from what I can see, and because half are in the progress of getting finished. Chengdu is the city that was rocked by an earthquake a few years back, and the city is spending $148 billion rebuilding it, thats along of building. Il update after the 2nd round.

Round 2 Tee Time is 1:25pm off the 10th Tee.

Luxehills Championship - China

I have arrived here and its a nice place, smog everywhere though. Only saw the range and chipping green as it was getting a bit late and a few of the boys were jet lagged, I seem to be okay. Should have updates everyday, and hopefully remember to get some photos tomorrow.

Official Website: www.oneasia.asia

This week I am playing in Chengdu, China for the OneAsia Event. This is a new tour that the Australasian Tour is part of. My ranking from last year has gained me a start.
I will endeavor to update my website when possible.

Chrysler Hastings Proam

Rounds of 73, 71 (even par) I felt as though I left a lot out there after getting off to reasonable starts each day. Progress in motion, I'll learn from it for next week.

Brian Perry Classic

Omaha Proam

Proams are now under way in New Zealand for me. I have played the Omaha Proam on the weekend. As you can see from the images above it is a place that has lots to offer. The golf course is quite a pleasant surprise to play each time and would recommend to any golfer of any level. My rounds of 75, 68 (+3) put me in T18 place. Over the last week I have been working with my golf coach, golf physio and performance coach. I feel I am now in great shape to do well at the Brian Perry Classic Proam in Hamilton this week coming.

Dates of Upcoming Events:

March 18-20 - Brian Perry Classic Proam
March 25-26 - Chrysler Hastings Proam
March 28 - Electrinet Poverty Bay Proam

April 22-25 - Coca Cola Morobe Open, PNG
